This sturdy square proving basket is ideal for baking fresh rolls or a square loaf.
Hand shaped rattan. Add a special artisan touch to your bread with a proving basket. A banneton helps the dough maintain its shape before its final bake & removes some moisture from the outside ‘skin’ for that crisp crust. As the dough rises the basket leaves an attractive spiral imprint.
Bannetons can be used with or without a liner. This banneton does not come with a liner, however a good coating of rice flour will do the same thing.
